So Bikes this week in the very cold. I was sick on Wednesday not fun. One of the Sisters in the area Sister Howton got pretty sick this week as well so we got to use their car for about an hour. The work has just been normal this week, we ate with the Foster”s... the one dinner appointment that we have every other week. He is from Alaska and she is from Hondurus. He is the Branch mission leader and she the Relief Society President.

Hold to the Rod

Elder Ludwig received his Hold to the Rod statue at the last Specialized Training meeting in January.  This required him to memorize 42 scriptures.  We are grateful for his service in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission.  I have attached a photo to this email with him receiving his award.  Thought you might want to hear of his accomplishment.  We love Elder Ludwig.

So we have this investigator she was studying with us and with the Jehovah’s Witness. She dropped us because she thought that we come just routinely came around every year. She thought the missionaries would just out of routine come around in the winter. Elder Dalton and I chose to go by and visit her even though she dropped us. We were talking before we got to her house and had the feeling to invite her to be baptized... when so when we got there and talked with her for a while we asked her if she was willing to be baptized and she said yes. She was the last person that I thought would say yes but she did. The next time we went back to visit with her the JWs where at the door... and she told them to go away that she was not going to listen. She has made dramatic changes in how she acts. She is proof of the quote in “preach my gospel” that says “gospel principles understood changes behavior better than the study of behavior”.

Not very much to write this week, Luis was baptized and confirmed yesterday.







Yes I am getting a new mission president in July. Wakolo is his name. I have no idea how it is spelled but he is cool he has a scar on his hand from when he had to cut off a tattoo because it was a bad example to the youth. He will come when I hit my year mark. I will have Pres. Peterson for a year and Pres. Wakolo for the second year. Alfredo is now the coolest member ever. Me and Elder Dalton gave him a PMG and he is starting to study it. He is living alone right now and so when he is not working he is just studies the scriptures and he is getting ordained an Elder next week!

Beyond that life is normal in Little Rock not much has changed.

Great News.. Elder Bennett had a baptism this week.

Story of the week

The English Elders where dropping us off at a gas station so we could bike to the places we had planned to go. When we started to bike this guy called us over and asked if we could talk to him so we said sure. (Please note he was rolling some weed at the time.) We started to talk to him, he was actually a stand-up comic and so he started to tell us jokes and do some (bad) magic tricks. After talking to him and the random pause for him to go sell some drugs to some guy that came up (very awkward) he told us we did not need to worry about being in the area that he would make sure no one hurt us (win). We gave him a plan of salvation pamphlet because he talked about how he had questions about Corinthians where Paul talks about the different heavens so we did some teaching then got picked up by English to go help someone move.

Cold week we were on bikes and it was below freezing. We found a dog that I named slim Jim because his head is bigger than his waist it was really sad we called animal control on Saturday and as far as I know.... they did not do anything. The English Elders Jardine and Jonhson (who is green fresh from mtc this week) they sprayed the car with water and it instantly froze on the car.
