November 17, 2014

Ok, so this week was pretty good. It is our last one in a car, and half of the time we were on the phone with the mission office trying to get car stuff all set up because we have to take the truck into the body shop because someone side swiped it last week when the English elders had it.

Tanya one of the people I was teaching in Danville that we almost got baptized but did not get to because of some stuff that happened, but she got baptized this Friday. The Sisters Thompson and Androsko called me and told me that she still wanted me to baptize her and so because Danville is in my area i got to go out and baptize Tanya. The water was green and cold but it was a good experience and it was sweet to see some of the people from there.

Sickness is sweeping the mission right now. Elder Salazar just got sick last night him and I stayed in when elder Schoenfeld was out with President Hernandez from the branch. I am starting to get over whatever I was starting to get but I fear that Schoenfeld will go down next.

Love y’all

I only have 4 transfers after this one time is going fast. Russellville is about 25000 people and is mostly flat. It is like a small version of Jonesboro (My favorite area so far). The branch here is not really big it is about 30ish people that are active. It also has a lot of potential for grow. There are a lot of Hispanics here. I don't enjoy the trio but I know why I am here now. The area has had a lot of problems in the past and I feel like I am coming in to put them back on track. Pray for me, Danville was hard but I feel that I have a lot more work ahead of me and I feel like Danville was just the proving ground.

October 26, 2014

My address is
1301 S. Jonesboro #601
Russellville, Ar 72801

The apartment is nice.... it would be nicer if it was not 3 people living in it... I hate the 3some.... Both the Elders are cool, I like them. It’s just hard when you are teaching. It’s very difficult to split up the lessons. Both Elder Salazar is from Mexico City so his native language is Spanish and I can speak Spanish pretty well Elder Schoenfeld is still learning and he is a little timid in speaking so it is hard for the two of us not to just take over the lessons. I am sure we will be able to work it out. I just want Elder Schoenfeld to have an opportunity to always participate in the lessons, he is a great Elder. I remember being in his place and wanting to participate more and not always having the opportunity. We are doing well here. Talk to you next week.
