We did get a letter April 28, 2014

This week has been a strange one. One week from the day that my bike got taken it was found it. Some Girl was trying to ride it so the Hermanas followed her and got it back. We are still on the lookout for Elder Ramirez's bike.

We set a baptism date with a part member family that we are working with right now named the Hernandez all is going well with that.
Baptism of Estaban, he is a man that the south Hermanas taught. It was a part member family and he chose me to baptism him.

Tornado, it hit down about 12 miles north of us. Not really too bad for us but areas close to us were hit hard. One member lost his life and a few other families lost their homes. We are waiting for news of what is going to happen and if we are helping with the cleanup. Love y’all

Dear Parents,

We want you to know that all missionaries serving in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission are safe and accounted for.  They have been asked to stay in their apartments today so you may not receive and e-mail from your missionary this week.  Some of our communities have sustained considerable damage so many of our missionaries will be involved in on going service to help those in need.  Thank you for your prayers and faith.

Sincerely, President Steven M. Petersen

April 21, 2012

OK, so this week has been a very up and down week. We did not have a lot of success for the first part of the week. The whole time we had a lot of people that would not come to the door or just did not want to listen.

……the words that can describe Thursday are…

Everywhere I go I see bikes going miss'n
When the truth is I would rather be fish'n

Yes, our bikes got stolen... so we had to walk which is not fun.

Saturday our day turned around, we got a car and the doors started to open, we set a baptism date with Obdulia, her and her family have been off and on investigating for a long time so we are happy that they have decided to finally be baptized.

Our Easter dinner was with Alfredo.... a family made us food and just dropped it off so we ate it with Alfredo.

So over all I am doing well. Sorry not a very long letter this week but I sent some pictures. Love ya’ll

April 14, 2014

Some of the things that happened this week…. Well we found out that our zone went 3000 miles over... (Our district was under by 100 miles) so all of our miles got cut. We are starting to work with this woman named Victoria from DF. She is cool we are working to help her with her family she is having some problems but we are really excited about teaching her.

We had to go up to Conway this week. We had to go up to do a baptismal interview for Elder Dalton. After that we got to go down to have an Easter party at one of the members’ homes. Egg hunt, Food, all the missionaries, it was a lot of fun. Not to mention we had a soccer game down by the church to try to get investigators coming out with us... we got 9 investigators there, it was a really great turn out. Not to mention we got Alfredo and Geraldo there too who are sweet members we have in the branch.

We are going into bike week... and we just were told that it is about to get cold again... and a huge rain storm hit yesterday... flash flood warnings got posted so it was pretty bad. Elder Ramirez and I have really bad luck on bike week.

April 7, 2014

I did get people to come to hear el profeta.... William came which was supper sweet and we played football between sessions on Saturday. We are going to start to do it every Saturday to try and bring people to some activity.
So your story about small and simple things is very true. We learn like we are building a house. If God just gave it to us we would not know how important every part is, but yet when we get to see it grow we gain so much more importance in everything that we do.
This week was a lot of work. By the end of the day yesterday I was exhausted. I had no energy left we did a lot of finding and Alfredo helped us all week. We are back in the car which is nice. We were happy that we got some people to come to church. Sunday was the most stressful day but it was a good week. Yes I did watch conference in Spanish but only for the last 2 sessions. Priesthood was super good. Oaks talk in priesthood was really great.

My new companion is Elder Ramirez. He is really cool. He is from Texas. I am the last White elder in the Branch. All the others are Hispanic. We had two raining bike days in a row. William could not come to church because of work but we talked to him and he will be going to conference with us Saturday night and Sunday. We climbed Pinnacle Mountain again today. Big group, we got to meet a guy who had two leg surgeries and it was his first time climbing it since the surgeries. I will work on getting some more pictures out to y’all. I did not get many this week. Sorry for the short letter but not much time I will try to write a letter to y’all this week.
